Conservative podcast host and chief executive of Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign Steve Bannon was released from federal prison after serving four months for his 2022 conviction on two counts of contempt of Congress for refusing to comply with a subpoena from the House Select Committee that investigated the January 6, 2021, attack on the US Capitol. He is continuing to appeal his conviction.
